Why a Zimbrick Automotive Technician Apprenticeship

Why a Zimbrick Automotive Mechanic Apprenticeship

Your Path to Success as a Zimbrick Automotive Apprentice

Earn While You Learn

The apprenticeship program at Zimbrick allows you to earn while you learn and eliminates the worry of acquiring student loan debt. Zimbrick also has a generous tuition reimbursement plan. The role of an automotive technician at Zimbrick is important: our clients rely on Zimbrick and automotive technicians like you for safe, reliable transportation.

Your Tools Are Provided

As an apprentice, your tools are provided. You do not need to invest in your own tools. If you decide you’d like to join the Zimbrick Service team after you graduate, you will be eligible to receive a  Tool Allowance worth up to $6,000. This stipend allows you to choose and purchase the tools you need.  There’s no charge to you when you receive these tools, and after 48 months of employment, they’re yours to keep.

Free Uniforms & Laundry Service

It sounds like a small thing, but some dealerships require you to pay for your uniforms and to have them cleaned. Fees associated with uniforms can add up over time. Zimbrick takes care of that expense for you, plus we also offer safety boot and safety glass reimbursement.

Flexible Hours

Your schedule isn’t set in stone. If you’re involved with extracurricular activities like sports or other clubs, and you need a semester with fewer hours, we can accommodate your schedule. Full-time hours are also usually available over the summer months and school breaks.

Team Atmosphere

You will be part of a team. Each of our service departments has technicians of varying levels of experience. Your teammates are there to help you succeed and you will be learning from some of the very best.

Our 16 Brands

The brands we represent are always introducing new technologies, and Zimbrick continues to make sure our service technicians have all the training and tools necessary to take great care of our customers. Because Zimbrick is a growing company, you will have opportunities to advance and grow your career.

Best of Madison

Zimbrick Is Built on Home-Grown Talent

Some of our technicians have been with Zimbrick for more than 30 years. Ask our Service Managers and Team Leaders how they got started — there are plenty of Zimbrick employees in leadership positions who began their careers from almost exactly where you are now.

At Zimbrick, you can build your own career path.  You might choose to continue working as a technician, mastering more challenging repairs.  You could decide to work in parts, or directly with customers, as a Service Advisor.  You might choose management and be responsible for hiring and mentoring new apprentices someday.  Because of the size of the Zimbrick organization, staying with the same company doesn’t mean staying in one place.

No matter what path you choose, you will need to keep learning.  As technology changes, the training you will need is paid for by Zimbrick and our manufacturers.
